Ryan Zinke, a U.S. Congressman representing Montana’s 1st district since 2023, has recently shared his perspectives on various policy matters via social media. Born in Bozeman, Montana in 1961, Zinke has an extensive background in public service, including prior roles in the Montana Senate and educational credentials from the University of Oregon and National University.

On July 9, 2025, Ryan Zinke expressed gratitude towards former President Donald Trump for enforcing stricter immigration policies. In his tweet, he stated: “Thank you President Trump! Arrested and deported four times, only to be let back into the country every time by Biden’s open border policy. This deportation will stick and you can thank @realDonaldTrump for that.”

Later on the same day, Zinke highlighted federal investments in water quality projects. He announced that “Over $23 million in Clean Water Act funding is headed to the @MTDEQ.” According to him, these funds are designated for financing water quality initiatives aimed at protecting public health and improving infrastructure across communities within the state.

On July 10, 2025, Zinke criticized a resource management plan proposed under President Biden’s administration. He described it as detrimental to Montana’s economy and energy security while undermining tribal sovereignty. In his tweet, he mentioned joining forces with other politicians such as Tim Sheehy and Steve Daines to introduce legislation addressing these concerns.

Zinke’s statements reflect ongoing debates about immigration policies, environmental funding allocation, and local versus federal jurisdiction over resource management plans.
