Glacier National Park: Construction Work

There is a nightly closure (10 pm to 6 am) on Going-to-the-Sun Road 1.5 miles north of the West Entrance to Sprague Creek Campground for construction work.

Separate vehicle reservations are required for each vehicle accessing the Going-to-the-Sun Road Corridor or the North Fork Vehicle Reservation Areas through September 11, 2022. A vehicle reservation is only needed from the east side at Rising Sun when the Going-to-the-Sun Road is fully open for the season.

All 120-day advanced vehicle reservations for the 2022 season have been released, and the remaining vehicle reservations will be released at 8 am MDT the day before the effective date (e.g., remaining vehicle reservations for August 20 are available on August 19) on www.rec.gov.

Visitors can access the community of Polebridge without a vehicle reservation as it lies just outside the entrance station to the park.
