Rep. Ryan Zinke, a U.S. Congressman representing Montana’s 1st district, shared updates on border security funding, meetings with constituents, and educational visits to the Capitol in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) between November 18 and 19, 2025.
On November 18, Zinke commented on longstanding bipartisan discussions about border security. He stated, “Presidents from both sides of the aisle have been talking about fixing it for decades. @HouseGOP delivered the funding and @POTUS executed it. Appropriate funding for border security and actual border enforcement work. End of story.” [November 18, 2025]
The following day, Zinke described his activities on Capitol Hill by posting: “Busy day on Capitol Hill today, but it started my favorite way with coffee and conversation with Montanans at MT Coffee.” [November 19, 2025]
Later that same day, he highlighted engagement with young constituents: “Happy to welcome Lone Peak High School students to the Capitol today. It’s always great to see young Montanans learning how their government works.” [November 19, 2025]
Zinke has represented Montana’s 1st district in Congress since replacing Steve Daines in 2023. He previously served in the Montana Senate from 2009 to 2013 and has roots in Bozeman, Montana. Zinke was born in Bozeman in 1961 and currently resides in Whitefish. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS in 1984 and later from National University in 1991.
