Rep. Ryan Zinke, who represents Montana’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted several legislative developments and constituent engagement opportunities through his social media posts.
On December 8, 2025, Zinke commented on new federal support for agriculture: “President Trump’s new $12 billion farm assistance package is great news for Montana. I’ve been working with the administration to deliver big wins for our farmers and ranchers, including extending death tax exemptions in the Big Beautiful Bill, boosting funding for grasshopper”.
The following day, he reported a legislative milestone impacting rural communities: “Huge win for Montana on the House floor tonight with the passage of the Secure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act of 2025. SRS funds go directly to schools and roads in counties where tax revenue is restricted by federal land holdings, giving forested Montana communities the” (December 9, 2025).
On December 10, Zinke invited constituents visiting Washington D.C. to connect with their representatives: “If you’re in D.C. on a Wednesday when both chambers are in session, swing by Montana Coffee. It’s a great chance to meet with your representatives and grab a signed photo with all four of us. Contact my D.C. office for details on how to RSVP.”
Zinke has served as U.S. Representative since 2023 after replacing Steve Daines and previously held office in the Montana Senate from 2009 to 2013. He was born in Bozeman in 1961 and resides in Whitefish. Zinke holds degrees from the University of Oregon and National University.
