Rep. Ryan Zinke, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Montana’s 1st District, shared updates on immigration, public lands staffing, and critical mineral policy through a series of posts on July 15, 2025. Zinke, who has represented the district since 2023 and previously served in the Montana Senate from 2009 to 2013, commented on federal policies and state-level achievements.

On July 15, 2025, Zinke stated that “Illegal Immigration is down 93% from this time last year. @POTUS immigration policies have been a monumental success. The OBBB doubles down on those wins, funding ICE at record levels, finishing the border wall, and supporting efforts to get the drug cartels, criminals, and bad”.

Later that day, he addressed staffing levels at two major national parks: “Glacier is fully staffed and Yellowstone is at record staffing levels. Huge credit to both Park Directors for preparing successfully for another season of record visitation. Montana has the best public lands in the world!”

In a subsequent post on July 15, Zinke discussed domestic mineral production following a meeting with industry leadership: “Just met with the CEO of Silbanye-Stillwater Mine in Columbus MT, America’s only source of key critical minerals. We shouldn’t rely on foreign adversaries; we should support mines in America and especially in Montana. That’s why I joined the Montana Delegation to introduce a bill”.

Ryan Zinke was born in Bozeman, Montana in 1961 and currently resides in Whitefish. He holds degrees from the University of Oregon (BS) and National University.
