Rep. Ryan Zinke, who represents Montana’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets this week highlighting the contributions of petroleum workers, praising former President Trump’s NATO policies, and marking the anniversary of the Marine Corps Reserve.
On August 27, Zinke commended Montana oil field and service workers, stating, “Montana oil field and service workers should be proud! Petroleum doesn’t just power our homes, cars, and businesses. The following day, August 28, Zinke addressed NATO funding issues with a post supporting former President Trump’s approach: “President Trump is holding NATO accountable. Now, after years of excuses, our allies are finally paying their fair share and global security is stronger for it.

On August 29, he recognized the Marine Corps Reserve’s birthday by writing: “Happy 109th birthday to the Marine Corps Reserve. From serving overseas to responding to disasters here at home, the Marine Corps Reserve embodies Semper Fi. https://t.co/5sG3EHtRB2”.
Zinke has represented Montana’s 1st district since 2023 after succeeding Steve Daines in Congress. He previously served in the Montana Senate from 2009 to 2013. Born in Bozeman in 1961 and currently residing in Whitefish, Zinke holds degrees from both the University of Oregon and National University.
