Rep. Ryan Zinke, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Montana’s 1st district, has recently shared his views on several legislative initiatives through social media posts. His tweets address issues ranging from tax cuts to border security and energy policy.

On July 2, 2025, Rep. Zinke stated his commitment to making life more affordable for Montanans by supporting “The Big Beautiful Bill,” which he claims includes significant tax cuts for working and fixed-income families. He highlighted specific measures such as a “Child tax credit boost,” “Cuts taxes for Social Security recipients,” and provisions for “Small biz & factory expensing.” Additionally, he noted the bill’s elimination of taxes on tips or other similar income sources. “I made a promise to Montanans that I’d vote to make life more affordable.”

Later that day, Zinke emphasized the bill’s focus on border security, describing it as delivering “the largest border security investment in generations.” He expressed that the legislation aligns with public sentiment by stating: “Americans spoke loud and clear: shut it down and send them home.”

In another post on July 2, Zinke criticized the energy policies under President Biden’s administration, attributing rising energy costs to what he termed as “Biden’s war on American energy” and spending related to the Green New Deal. While affirming his support for diverse energy forms, he opposed subsidizing foreign-produced windmills or utilizing extensive public land for solar panels. “Four years of Biden’s war on American energy and radical Green New Deal spending sent our energy costs through the roof.”

Ryan Zinke has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Steve Daines. Born in Bozeman, Montana in 1961, Zinke resides in Whitefish and holds degrees from the University of Oregon and National University.
