Rep. Ryan Zinke, U.S. Congressman representing Montana’s 1st district, recently shared updates on his official X account regarding visits to local institutions and ongoing legislative issues.
On November 4, 2025, Zinke wrote about his visit to a local workforce training center: “I had a good visit to the Anaconda Job Corps today. I’ve fought to protect Job Corps from budget cuts because it’s one of the best investments we can make to improve outcomes for at-risk youth and train the next generation of skilled laborers. These students are learning trades”.
The following day, Zinke commented on environmental efforts in Butte: “Thank you for visiting the Berkeley Pit, @epaleezeldin. It’s important to see the administration and the @EPA focusing on the cleanup and health of Butte as a top priority.” This statement highlights ongoing federal attention toward environmental remediation in Montana.
On November 6, 2025, Zinke addressed recent congressional actions related to federal spending and healthcare policy: “House and Senate Republicans closed this loophole that funneled your tax dollars to fund healthcare for illegal immigrants. Senate Democrats shut down the government and are holding food aid and federal worker pay hostage to get it back.”
Zinke has served as Montana’s representative in Congress since 2023 after replacing Steve Daines. He previously held office in the Montana Senate from 2009 to 2013. Born in Bozeman in 1961, Zinke currently resides in Whitefish and holds degrees from both the University of Oregon and National University.
