City of Hamilton issued the following announcement on June 16.
Fairgrounds Road
Beginning Tuesday, June 16 the westbound lane of Fairgrounds road will be closed between North Daly Avenue and Kurtz Lane. Westbound traffic will be detoured south onto Kurtz Lane and west at Marcus Street in preparation for curb, gutter, storm drainage improvements, paving and chip sealing of Fairgrounds Road.
Eastbound traffic will be allowed to continue through the work zone until paving and chip sealing work begins. At that time traffic will be detoured to Marcus Street. Local access will be provided during full closure. During full closure, traffic will be detoured as follows:
Westbound traffic will be diverted south to Marcus Street (East Main Street) at the intersection of Fairgrounds Road and Kurtz Lane.
Eastbound traffic will be diverted south to Marcus Street (East Main Street) at the intersection of Fairgrounds Road and Highway 93
Roads closures will include N. Daly Avenue, Alice Avenue and Stonegate Drive where they intersect Fairgrounds Road. Residents living on the north side of Fairgrounds Road will be detoured north and east on Stonegate Drive to Providence Way.
Ravalli Street
Ravalli Street will be closed to through traffic starting June 16th between First Street (Highway 93) and Honey Lane. Patrons of Davison’s Service Station and the Coffee Cup are encouraged to use the Highway 93 entrances. The project should be substantially complete within 60-days.
