88 percent of applicants to The University of Montana were admitted for fall 2018

At The University of Montana, 75 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Missoula enrolled 10,962 students in fall 2018, including 8,306 in undergraduate and 2,656 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

66 percent of undergraduates are residents of Montana, and 33 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (76 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (5 percent).

The school admitted 88 percent of the 5,475 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 32 percent enrolled.
