Graduates earn 196 degrees, certificates from Salish Kootenai College

About 42.4 percent of the 196 degrees and certificates handed out by Salish Kootenai College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Pablo conferred 51 certificates and 22 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in dental assisting/assistant. Data shows the school gave out 45 certificates in dental assisting/assistant, followed by 15 associate's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 14 certificates in construction/heavy equipment/earthmoving equipment operation.

The college enrolled 720 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
