Sen. Jon Tester has helped secure more than $1.1 million in funding for the Head Start program in the Havre area.
The funding will provide North Central Montana families with child care services, school readiness material and information on pregnancy and fetal development, according to a release on Tester’s website.
“One of the most critical investments we can make is in the next generations of Montanans who will lead our state into the future,” Tester said in the release. “Havre’s Head Start program gives Montana families the resources they need to ensure their kids have the tools they need to be successful right off the bat, and I’m proud to have pushed for this funding.”
Havre’s Head Start program will receive the $1,145,047 in funding from the Administration for Children and Families, according to Tester’s website. Tester has recently secured funding for Head Start programs throughout Montana including in Butte and Great Falls.
