2021 has 4.7% of Missoula County residents unemployed

Missoula County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,229 people out of the 117,379 living in Missoula County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Missoula County has decreased compared to the 4.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Missoula County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 65,748 people who had a job during that time, 141 were employed in the Armed Forces and 65,607 belonged to the civilian labor force.
