The City of Missoula's Public Works & Mobility Department is inviting residents to participate in the "Name Our Snowplows Contest." This initiative seeks creative input from the community to name three snowplows, offering a family-friendly activity during the holiday season.
Residents can submit their suggestions and review contest rules on the Engage Missoula web page dedicated to the event. The submission period runs from December 17 until January 12, 2025. Following this, city staff will select the top 15 entries. From January 21 through February 4, residents can vote for their favorite names on the same platform.
Winners of the contest will be announced at the City Council meeting on February 10. Public Works staff will arrange for winners to have their photos taken with the plow they named once names are affixed.
