The University of Montana and the Montana Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education announced on April 3 that Dr. Jeremiah Shinn, a presidential finalist, will visit the UM campus on Monday and Tuesday, April 6-7.
Shinn is currently serving as interim president at Boise State University. His visit will include meetings with university leadership, faculty, staff, student representatives, and other campus groups. There will also be an open forum for the public at 3:30 p.m. on Monday in the University Center’s third floor, followed by a community reception at 5 p.m.
Montana Commissioner of Higher Education Clayton Christian said, “The search for UM’s next president has been robust, with a high volume of strong applicants. We are excited to reach this stage of the search, and we encourage faculty, staff, students and the community to participate in this on-campus visit.”
