Big Sky Values Pac issued the following announcement on June 2.
The Republican race for Montana’s lone U.S. House seat drew six candidates with two rising to the top: Montana insurance commissioner Matt Rosendale and Montana Secretary of State Corey Stapleton.
Initial results Tuesday night indicate Rosendale will win the race with 48 percent and 92,688 votes as of 11 p.m. Stapleton trailed Rosendale, 38 percent or 63,963 votes.
Joe Dooling, John Evankovich, Debra Lamm and Mark McGinley each garnered less than 10 percent.
About 192,000 votes in the Republican race total as of 11 p.m.
