Widespread Snow Showers | US National Weather Service Missoula Montana
The next weather system is expected to bring widespread snow showers to all of western Montana and north central Idaho beginning Saturday evening and lingering through much of Sunday.
Snowfall totals will be highly variable across the region due to the showery nature of precipitation. Locations in the terrain of north central Idaho and locations near the Continental Divide from Seeley Lake northward to the Canadian border have the highest chance (60% chance or greater) of seeing more than 2 inches of snowfall by Sunday afternoon.
Keeping in mind that showers, snow bands and snow squalls are possible, expect variable travel conditions over short distances during this timeframe. Slick conditions may cause slow travel and gusty winds may cause localized lowered visibility.
