6.1% of Lake County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Lake County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 844 people out of the 31,030 living in Lake County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Lake County has increased compared to the 5.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Lake County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 13,047 people who had a job during that time, 9 were employed in the Armed Forces and 13,038 belonged to the civilian labor force.
